We invite all interested parties to the conference, which will be held on June 11, 2025, in the Panorama Hall of the Westin Hotel, Zagreb.

Ms. Doris Pinčić, a well-known Croatian TV presenter, will moderate the conference.

It will bring together experts from Croatia and the European Union to discuss key topics related to the implementation of HTAR (Health Technology Assessment Regulation), the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, and the development of personalized medicine for the treatment of rare diseases.

During the conference, two panel discussions are planned:

The following day, June 12, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00, participants will have a unique opportunity to visit BIOCentar, the first biotechnology incubator and scientific research institution in Croatia. Opened in 2015, BIOCentar offers state-of-the-art laboratories, office space, and specialized training programs for biotech startups and established companies. Its Central Laboratory includes advanced capacities for microbiology, cell biology, proteomics, and biomolecule processing. This visit will provide insight into the latest research and innovations in biotechnology.

As part of the visit to BIOCentar, visitors will have the following opportunities:

  • Prof. Gordan Lauc, PhD, will present the company Genos, and
  • the director of Monocytes d.o.o., Marija-Jasna Bašić, MSc Pharm, will give a brief lecture on the specific situation in Croatia regarding the establishment and management of a company in the pharmaceutical sector.

In this way, the theoretical knowledge and insights from the presentation given the previous day by Prof. Lauc and Ms. Bašić will be reinforced and given a practical dimension through direct experience and application in a real business environment.
